Free training for NCU academic teachers: how to implement COIL in practice.
We invite NCU academic teachers to participate in a free practical training devoted to COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning),
a teaching model based on international online collaboration.
The training will take place on 20 April 2026, from 9:00 to 10:30 on the MS Teams platform.
COIL offers students an opportunity to develop not only language skills but also the ability to complete professional tasks in an international context. Thanks to this model, students learn to work in intercultural environments, communicate effectively, collaborate, and solve problems in international teams, all while connecting these skills with their field of study and future professional careers.
For NCU, this is also an important direction in the development of internationalisation. The University is a member of YUFE, which provides a strong basis for building international partnerships and developing teaching cooperation in the COIL format. UCFL is developing the COIL Hub YUFE at NCU.
During the training, participants will learn how to start working with COIL step by step, discover practical examples, and explore available support for first implementations.
The training will be led by Joanna Ososińska-Ciechomska, COIL Coordinator at UCFL.
