The NCU University Centre for Foreign Languages is hosting the YUFE-Ukraine Seminar: Lifelong Learning in the Times of VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity). The seminar focuses on the challenges and importance of lifelong learning in difficult times as well as on individual needs of  partner universities in Ukraine and across Europe.

The purpose of this meeting is to develop cooperation between the YUFE and Ukraine in the area of lifelong learning. The delegates include representatives from six YUFE institutions (Nicolaus Copernicus University, University of Eastern Finland, University of Rijeka, University of Antwerp, University of Essex, Sorbonne Nouvelle University, and University of Bremen) and four Ukrainian universities (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv).

The session was opened by dr habil. M. Wałachowska, NCU Prof., Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education, and Ms. Katinka Käyhkö, leader of YUFE Work Package 3 (Lifelong Learning), University of Eastern Finland.
