From February 26th to March 2nd, 2024, Ms. Joanna Ososińska-Ciechomska and Ms. Ewa Kowalska conducted classes which were part of the course titled "Arctic Madness – Sustainability in Entrepreneurship," organized by Oulu University of Applied Sciences (OAMK) in Finland as part of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Erasmus+.
Apart from the hosts from OAMK, the course was attended by students and lecturers from HAN University of Applied Sciences (the Netherlands), Artevelde University of Applied Sciences (Belgium), and Hochschule Neu-Ulm (Germany). The aim of the program was to identify real problems faced by two Finnish companies: Taitonetti.fi and Touhino Farm, find creative solutions to ensure sustainable development of the enterprises, and present them in the form of business pitches.
Participation in the program was an extraordinary opportunity to establish contacts with international partners, exchange best practices and teaching experiences, and plan future joint projects. It was also a wonderful chance to get acquainted with Finnish culture and take part in Polar Bear Pitching, a unique event during which startup founders sought investors in a very unconventional manner.
